Description

With mesmerising views to enjoy throughout all three floors of this beautiful home, there is simply so much to say about Broadbank, but those views certainly deserve a special mention, they are exquisite.
Through the charming arched doorway, an unbroken sightline takes you through the hallway, straight down the garden tempting you to closer to the water’s edge, but there is so much to see inside first. Packed with charm and enviable character features at every turn, the Edwardian era of this home has also borrowed a number of eclectic Arts & Crafts inspired details such as ornate stained-glass windows and quite significantly the unusual ‘wave’ designed spindles which weave upwards throughout the three floors.
Full of natural light, the hallway entices you first to the kitchen, a room recently re-modelled with soft grey cabinetry and white Quartz counter-tops, perfectly balancing practicality with style.
Encompassing the entire width of the house, the dining and living room has been completely opened out to create a bright and versatile space to spread out and enjoy. With two charming fireplaces either side, the Art-Deco style ceiling above is another reminder of the history within the bones of this home and just another feature to enjoy aside from those Broadside views which pour through the bay window.
Rising upwards to the first floor, you will be immediately greeted by an ornate stained-glass window, which is beautifully illuminated by the afternoon sun which reflects right across the large first floor landing. Leading first into the suite of all suites, the Principal, complete with fully fitted dressing room, ensuite bathroom and arguably some of the best views, this room is bound to tick all the boxes. Bedroom two is equally sizeable in good measure, with yes, more of those enchanting waterside views. As you finally rise to the last floor, you really take in the vast footprint this home offers, the beautiful light that floods in from all the varying styles of window and the general feeling of space all around you. Two more double bedrooms can be found up top, with a shower room leading from the landing which equally doubles up as a reception space for this floor, ideal for families who are seeking plenty of versatility or privacy for guests to enjoy.

Outside...

With all the character and appeal you could hope for from an Edwardian home, Broadbank certainly offers that from the kerb. Framed by raised beds and borders, the arched front door lies beyond the shingled driveway which allows space to park two vehicles off-road.
Leading to the rear garden, the magic really begins as those enviable waterside views stretch out before your eyes, a view which we’re sure you will never become bored of.
Tiered gardens lead from the raised terrace which lead from the back of the house and garden room, ideal for those warmer months to enjoy. Shielded by mature trees, the gardens are beautifully landscaped with well stocked borders leading you down to the waters edge where a gate leads you through to your private mooring. Perhaps one of our favourite little spots, a small cabin is perched on the cusp of the bank, ideal for a moment of pure escapism and to watch the world go by.

Franks Thoughts...

Still mesmerised by those waterside views, we had to tear ourselves away to fully appreciate the wonderful bones this home has. With character and stunning detail to enjoy at every turn, this home is incredibly special to say the least.
